In early 2018, Elsa Lewis, Director of Lioness Writing Ltd, established a Creatives Network Group in Canterbury and the surrounding East Kent area. The group meets regularly and their Creatives Blog is a wealth of information and links from these networking events.
Rationale for networking
Each of us have creative skills that we have been given to share with others. We would all benefit from learning more from each other about publicising and marketing that would make the sharing more effective.
Elsa attended Liz Jenning’s and David Weeks’ joint ‘Short Christians’ and paintings event and was struck what an effective home-based venture it was. It was an excellent awareness-building event and everyone who attended went away knowing more about the book and the paintings. This was a kind of local event we could do together, with self-promotion being less intense when several people are involved.
Social media and Websites
Support with social media campaigns and improving general web presence may be needed to facilitate sharing. Together we can share skills as to how we can do this more effectively.
Regular networking email
Even if you are unable to come to the networking events, it would be great to receive your thoughts on any of the above by emailing either Elsa Lewis (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Andrew Buller (email@example.com). Elsa will send round regular email updates and look out for the Creatives blog posts detailing what we have covered and shared. Feel free to invite anyone else who might be interested and obviously feel free to unsubscribe if this is not your cup of tea.
